Day 1: Desperation Drives Us to Jesus
Scripture: Mark 5:22–23
Key Thought: Sometimes the hardest moments become the turning point.
Jairus had status, influence, and resources—but none of that could save his daughter. In desperation, he did the only thing left: he ran to Jesus.
Desperation has a way of stripping away pride and revealing what really matters. It pushes us to stop relying on ourselves and start seeking God.
The question isn’t whether you’ll face desperation—it’s what you’ll do when it comes.
Reflection:
What situation in your life is pushing you toward Jesus right now?
Prayer:
Jesus, help me not run from desperation, but through it—straight to You.
Day 2: When Waiting Feels Like Losing
Scripture: Mark 5:35–36
Key Thought: God’s delays are not God’s denials.
While Jesus stopped to help someone else, Jairus received devastating news: “Your daughter is dead.” It looked like Jesus had waited too long.
But Jesus responded immediately: “Don’t be afraid. Just believe.”
What feels like a delay to us is never out of control to Him. Jesus wasn’t late—He was working a bigger miracle.
Reflection:
Where does it feel like God is taking too long in your life?
Prayer:
Jesus, help me trust You even when the timing doesn’t make sense.
Day 3: Reach for Jesus
Scripture: Mark 5:27–29
Key Thought: Faith reaches—even when words fail.
The woman didn’t speak. She didn’t ask. She simply reached out and touched Jesus.
Twelve years of suffering led to one moment of faith—and everything changed.
You don’t need perfect words or perfect faith. Sometimes faith is simply reaching for Jesus in the middle of your pain.
Reflection:
What would it look like for you to “reach” for Jesus today?
Prayer:
Jesus, even in my weakness, I reach for You. Meet me in this moment.
Day 4: You Are More Than Your Issue
Scripture: Mark 5:34
Key Thought: Jesus gives you a new identity.
For 12 years, she was known by her condition. But Jesus called her “Daughter.”
He didn’t just heal her body—He restored her identity.
Your struggles may describe part of your story, but they do not define who you are. In Jesus, you are known, loved, and restored.
Reflection:
What label have you been carrying that Jesus wants to replace?
Prayer:
Jesus, remind me who I am in You—not what I’ve been through.
Day 5: Bring Jesus Home
Scripture: Mark 5:41–43
Key Thought: What happens with Jesus should change what happens at home.
After raising Jairus’s daughter, Jesus didn’t start a movement in the streets—He restored life in a home.
The miracle wasn’t meant to stay in that moment. It was meant to transform a family.
The same is true for us. What Jesus does in us isn’t just for us—it’s meant to go with us.
Reflection:
What would it look like to bring Jesus into your home this week?
Prayer:
Jesus, don’t let what You’re doing in me stay here—help me carry it home.
Scripture: Mark 5:22–23
