We are OBSESSED with Jesus.
Being
with
him.
Becoming
like
him.
Doing
as he
did.
We are in the heart of the city with a heart for the city.

In the early years of the twentieth century, God began moving upon the hearts of a few men and women, showing them the need for a holiness church in Marion, Ohio. Soon, a holiness mission began in a house on North State Street.

In the Fall of 1913, the congregation rented a space over a blacksmith shop on the same street. It was here that the church was organized and Rev. Ernest Dearn became the first pastor.

The church continued in this hall for approximately one year until a new lot was purchased on North High Street and a building formerly known as "The Dug-Out" became the new church home.

During the year 1919, the church purchased a church building at the corner of State and Columbia Streets where they worshipped until January, 1948. The building stands to this day.

In 1948 the church was moved to 233 West Church Street, its current location, but a very different building. The church inevitably outgrew their facilities at Church Street and by a unanimous vote of the congregation, agreed to build a new sanctuary and Sunday School facilities. The first addition was finished on January 12, 1975.

MarionNaz has been associated with different names, different pastors and different locations throughout the 100+ years it has served the community. From a modest attendance of 17, to the hundreds, who find the love of Jesus every week, MarionNaz has had a heart for the city through Marion’s darkest times.
